Hahaha! That should put the fear of God back into them. ;-)
It's a longstanding tradition in our family that young children are always given noisy, sticky or potentially smelly gifts by anyone who is not their parent. Extra batteries is too cruel though and out of bounds.

At Christmas I always like to give all the little kids the loudest toys I can find. Just to annoy their parents when they go home.
